Phoebe's outfit
Intro for Kat
This. This was the perfect way to handle balancing schoolwork with lunch. A trip to the coffee place, a plate of buffalo chicken, a separate plate for a side of fries, a glass of seltzer and a small pile of books on the table.
Ok, maybe perfect was an overstatement. But it was already after 2:00 and if Phoebe didn't eat something soon, it wasn't going to end well. But she still had one assignment to take care of for her early morning class the next day. Fortunately for her, she had already gotten started on that during her break at the internship that morning. One chicken strip in and she was already three quarters of the way done with that assignment. It was definitely the most important one, considering there was going to be a test on the subject matter next Monday. Seriously, who made tests on Mondays? And why? Shaking her head, Phoebe took a moment to grab one of her fries before writing down the answer to another question. Granted, the effect that STD's had on the human body wasn't ideal homework for lunch, but somehow all of the medical classes covered it at some point. Better to get it done sooner rather than later.
And that was just one notebook and textbook. There was still one other textbook and three other notebooks on the table. No, Phoebe didn't think she'd get them all out of the way at the coffee shop. But a girl could try, couldn't she? There was a chapter in her second textbook to read on top of answering questions about the material; there was brainstorming she had to do for an essay in another class; and then of course, there was her elective which was the simplest of assignments. Unfortunately for Phoebe, that assignment was due after her other ones and all she had to do was create a playlist to tell a story and express emotions. A 101 Music Class was a piece of cake for her, but it got a couple of creative credits out of the way.
At least there was still free space at the table, though Phoebe had no idea what she would even use it for and her backpack was secure underneath to put each book away as she completed her homework. Having been at her internship earlier, Phoebe opted for a simpler style with her attire. Her hair was tied back into a side ponytail, which rested on her shoulders but fortunately on the opposite side to where her food was located. It had a slight wave to it today as opposed to her natural curls, but again, simplicity was key. Also who liked hair in their food? It was about as appetizing as the subject matter. Although it would have been nice to have some company, Phoebe would admit. If anyone could make the time pass, not to mention the medical topics entertaining, it was Zesty. But he was about as busy as her, to no surprise of anyone. Phoebe let out a light sigh. "Ok, I'm done with you," she decided quietly to the textbook. She closed it, deciding she would just answer the last couple of questions from memory. Leaning back, Phoebe took a long sip of her water, the slight sour hint of lemons contrasting with the sweet crunchy taste of fries. Was it too late to change her major to professional food taster...?
