Q: What is the Twitter Feed? A: The twitter feed is basically Metric’s gossip blog. It’s run by an anonymous user who goes by Campus Sweetheart. No one knows who this person is, but whoever they are, they must be attending Metric at either the High School or College Level. The things said on the Twitter feed vary in terms of authenticity, but everything that is said on the Twitter feed exists to cause drama. Characters may reference the Twitter feed either in the IC cbox or in in-character posts.

Gossip Twitter is run by Kenzie and any gossip requests may be PMed to her. She will add them to the Twitter feed when applicable.

Q: What is the IC Cbox?: A: The IC cbox is basically like the regular cbox, except all posts must be in character on it.

Q: What is the plotbox?: A: The plotbox is like the chatting cbox except reserved for plotting. This way people can plot things among one another while also leaving the chatbox open for regular conversation. Please take plots/gushing about RPs to plotbox if other people pop on the cbox, this way both conversations can carry on and no one will be dwarfed.

Q: What is the Ghost rumor for?: A: The ghost rumor started on the original forum, inspired for Halloween and horror themed roleplays. You may use the legend of the Powell family to your hearts content for spooky type roleplays, though keep in mind writer Pierce has created a character for one of the Powell children .

Just as Spyro had gotten a Gyro sandwich at the family restaurant--because it was the only thing he could get for free-- that his phone went off. There was another delivery for him. Good, he needed the commission in order to pay for rent this month. Throwing the sandwich into his backpack Spyro raced to the office uptown. It took him ten minutes unfortunately because the traffic was absolutely terrible. But he was able to get to the office in time.

But the package he was supposed to deliver.. What was in it, rocks? An entire encyclopedia? It was really heavy! It made the trek back to the downtown neighborhood much more difficult. At least the house he was making the delivery to was one he frequented a bit it seemed. One of the local professors' house. The guy wasn't that bad at all, definitely one of the more friendly locals in town.

And due to having gone there pretty often, Spyro did know a quick shortcut. After what felt like forever the house was in sight and he leaned his bike against a nearby fence and locked it--never could be too safe with one's possessions, after all. He held the package i a way that wasn't as difficult and approached the door, juggling a little in order to ring the doorbell.

Aphrodite's Outfit

For once in what felt like forever Aphrodite had finally been able to find a day to come home and just... Well, not completely relax, but at least be in the presence of her sister and her father. Well... her dad, anyway, since Athena had decided to go out for the day under the guise that she was doing some soccer practice--not that Aphrodite didn't believe her, but still. Could she not take a day off when her sister was home? She hadn't been able to come home in weeks because of the stupid amount of homework, ear training, and other stuff she had to do for school.

But that made her sound ungrateful, didn't it? She was happy for the opportunity to be going to Metric Academy, and not for the prospect of doing something with music later on in life, but just being able to put it on a resume that she went to this school could give her much better prospect of getting into an amazing college. It was just hard. She missed being able to laze around with her dad and sister and listen to myths.

Oh well.

As her dad was in the office working on papers from his classes, Aphrodite was in the living room on the couch, practicing her guitar work. Her nimble fingers moved slowly across the cords, her ears picking up sounds, her throat humming to a tune that was barely there. She was getting better at it, even if she would rather be playing the piano. But one her teachers, after hearing her voice, just profoundly decided that her voice would work extraordinary with a guitar. Which meant that she had more homework. It was... Good though. She loved the guitar bad had previously never played one. It was harder than she expected, but... Oh well.

From the corner of her eye she saw a shadow make its way across the curtains. Turning her head, she blinked her eyes at the sight of someone walking past the window, juggling something in their hands, until they stopped at the front door. Aphrodite set the guitar down and quickly hopped off the couch. Before the doorbell could be rung she opened the door and, with a smile on her face, looked at the guy with a package in his hand. "Hi!" And then she looked down at the rectangle package and suddenly her eyes widened and she gasped. "Is that the terracotta pottery my dad ordered?"

Okay, so juggling the package was easier said than done. He really needed both hands on it otherwise it could fall out of his grasp and then he'd be paying for it. Spyro would be losing money and he really could not afford to do that. Rent this month was already tight enough. Maybe he shouldn't have done that run to Gamestop. Some days it felt like he was the only one keeping that business afloat.

He had finally gotten the box balanced to the point he could reach out to ring the doorbell--incorporating his knee as a stabilizer. But the door opened before he could complete his accomplishment. Oh come on! Quickly he grasped the box in both his hands once more, ready to hand over the box to that nice professor.

Spyro blinked a few times. That wasn't the professor. That was a girl. He shot a glance to the number beside the door. He had the right place. Though he wasn't wearing his glasses so maybe he really did have the wrong house. Damn near-sightedness! Of course he almost actually dropped the package when the girl mentioned something about terracotta pottery. That's what was in the package? And there wasn't a fragile stamp on it? People really needed to know what they were delivering. Oh please let there not be a scratch or a crack or something wrong with it, please.

"Skatá.." He mumbled under his breath. But then he cleared his throat and looked at the girl. "Uhmm.. This is where Dr. Manny Schneider lives, right? I don't have the wrong house?"

The guy at the door seemed confused, as if he was struggling to keep the box in his hands, but Aphrodite could care less about that--for the time being, anyway. Her eyes were so focused on the package that when the guy mumbled she didn't process it then and, instead, looked up at the guy with a grin. "Of course you're at the right house." She cleared her throat. "Excuse me, I'm Aphrodite, Manny Schneider's daughter." She quickly glanced down at the box and then took a quick step back.

"Just--stay right there for a minute, please! I have to go get something." Without giving the guy a chance to respond, Aphrodite turned and quickly flitted off, door wide open, guy to just stand there. She came back a few seconds later with a box cutter and a gleam in her eyes. "Okay just--hold the box like this." She positioned it better in the guy's hands until the top was straight and the tape across it faced her. "Now hold it still." She swiped the box cutter across the tape easily and carefully, pocketing it once she got the tape off so that she could use both of her hands to pry the sides open. Pieces of packing foam fell out of the box and onto the ground, a few pieces on the guy's arms, and when another box appeared with other packing materials around it she took care to unwrap it carefully.

"Okay..." she mumbled to herself, occasionally telling the guy to hold the box steadier until, finally, she was able to get what she wanted.

She gasped again and her eyes alighted with an excited gleam. She reached her hands into the box and pulled out a vase with little trouble, her eyes holding the weight carefully. "Oh my God, it's gorgeous! Isn't it gorgeous?!" She held it up to show the guy at the door, turning it as she held it by the handles to get another view of it. "It's not the original, of course, because the original of this piece is in a museum, but still--this is amazing!"

The box was growing heavier with each passing second and Spyro just wanted to set it down already. When the girl told him to wait then proceeded to run back into the house he whined a little in protest. But she didn't hear him. Or she chose to ignore him. Either could be true. Was he shaking? It felt like he was shaking under the strain. How the hell could pottery weight this much?

Then the girl came back with a box cutter and the most terrifying look in her eyes. Oh skatá, he was going to die today, wasn't he! Goodbye world, he will never forget that last cheeseburger he ate! And she told him to hold still and hold the box a certain way, as if to embrace his fate by the box cutter that she was more than likely going to slit this throat with. Instinctively he squeezed his eyes shut, heart pounding in his chest as he waited for her to get it over with, the psychopath..

But instead he could hear her opening up the box and he peeked an eye open. Oh.. Well now that was embarrassing. Maybe he had been playing too much Skyrim last night.. Still, her movements with the box and her demands for him to hold it steady did not make anything any easier. He had to bend his knees for more support, feeling like he could drop that package at any moment and it would all be game over. A few pieces of foam hit his arms and his face.

He nearly sighed in relief when the vase was out of the box, but couldn't help but look at the girl strangely. She held the vase as if it were nothing! How the-- Spyro just shook his head a little and looked at the piece when she showed it off. Well it most certainly not something he found nice. But at least it was just a replica.

"Well since you have received the package.. and opened it.. I am going to have to have you sign for it.." He shrugged his backpack off of his shoulders and rummaged through it. First he lifted his sandwich out and held it sort of aloft while pulling out the clipboard for her. "Hold on I think I have a pen somewhere in here.."

This was awesome--no, this is amazing! As Aphrodite continued to stare at the pottery she started imagining where the vase could sit in the house. In the living room, the dining room--oh no, maybe in the foyer. No thought of her father came to mind; he wasn't a very good interior decorator anyway. As she and Athena were growing up Aphrodite had taken it upon herself to do a lot of decorating around the house--even if they lived with their grandparents. She just felt the need to make the place their own as well; rearranging the furniture, pictures, always wanting to paint the walls but never being able to... Her dad just had no style! That was why the house now was decorated mostly from her, with a bit of help from Athena.

What didn't go unnoticed to her, however, was the lack of reaction from the mail boy, who immediately changed the conversation and mentioned something about signing or the package. "Oh, come on! You didn't even get a good look at it!" She turned it around for him to show the other picture on the back of the vase. "You just can't admit that this isn't a work of art! I mean, it's still not the original--though I wish I was--but to be able to replicate something from Greek mythology like this? It's history! Art history!" But instead of looking like Aphrodite expected, the guy was digging through his backpack, basically stuffing his face into it in search of a pen.

She pouted and the huffed. But when her eyes sighted the sandwich lifted in his hand, she rose her brows, widened her eyes. "Ah, so I see another lover of Greek food! I love that restaurant! What's the owner's name... Mr. Eliades--yeah, that's it! I've made him once. Very nice man."

Honestly, he barely heard her as she rambled on a bit more. He was much too engrossed in searching for that pen he just knew was in there. Flashlight.. Map.. Matches.. If anyone ever asked Spyro what was in his bag the correct way to go about it would be to ask what wasn't in his bag. And at that moment it seemed he had everything except that gamiménos pen! Oh wait.. there it was.

"A-ha!" Spyro held it aloft triumphantly. Finally, after that search he found it. But.. It was sticky.. And covered in jelly. But he hadn't had a jelly sandwich in over a week. Gross.. Still, he blinked a little when he realized that the girl was still speaking. "Honestly, history was never an interest of mine." He shrugged a little and found a napkin in his bag that was surprisingly clean. Using it he wiped the pen off and held it out to her.

But she didn't just stop at talking about the pottery. No, she had noticed the gyro in his hand. "Yeah, that's him. But if you grew up with him I doubt you would be singing the same tune about anything you just said.." With a glance to his sandwich he grimaced and shoved it back into the backpack. "Personally I am not a fan of Greek food. Been forced to eat it every day of my life practically, so.."

She still hadn't taken the pen. And he needed that signature as proof, so he'd get paid. "Uhm.. You still need to sign, you know."

"Wait, what?" She sputtered out, leaning her upper body forward, closer to him as her eyes widened. "You're his... You're his son? And you don't even like Greek food?!" She shook her head and stood back straight, ignoring the pen he held out towards her. "So that makes you Greek! Just like me." But then her brows furrowed and her lips pouted. "How can you not like the food here? It's Greek; it's our culture. I mean, I'm vegan and I've still found recipes to love."

She thought he looked uncomfortable, but that didn't make her stop. Aphrodite leaned forward again, pressing the vase up to her chest, and said, in a whisper, "Were you abused? Force fed until you chocked? Something can be done about that, you know?"
