Full Name
Everett Josiah Underwood
Username
M0JoJ0J0
Nicknames
There are a couple. When he's online Everett usually answers to Jo, which makes sense with his username. He doesn't see the point in using his real name on there anyway. When he goes out, however, Everett has this whole other personality. When he's not in class or around his parents but rather around other college kids or at parties he goes by Josiah. Josiah is basically this whole other personality that Everett put together to put himself out there in college and become more than who he was before. The only time he will respond to Everett now, really, is in class or with his moms.
Age/Birthday
He will be 19 on December 6
Zodiac
Sagittarius
Reputation
In high school, Everett might as well have been the kid who didn't exist. He was never that great around people, which most of his classmates took for snobby. That he was too good for everyone. That he didn't want anything to do with anyone. Now, when he goes out as Josiah, he's much more social. He interacts with more people and has actually become quite the ladies' man.
Job
Everett is actually in charge of designing the website for his mom's store. It started where she thought it best to advertise more than with just flyers and mailers. With Everett being so interested in coding, she put him in charge or setting up the website and he's been updating it ever since. Everett doesn't get a ton of money from it, but it is something. Hey, it beats actually working in the store!
Class
Freshman at Salem Community College
Major
Web Design
Grades
Although Everett is smart, he never did get the best grades. His focus was just never there. Much as he would have liked to go to Metric to study web design and have more opportunities, his D and C grades could only get him into Salem College. To this day his grades are still questionable.
Friends
Most of Everett's friends are online, the one he's most in contact with being a user named Bu++ercupp. It started where they were randomly matched up to play Words With Friends; some Powerpuff Girl jokes and references were made, she kicked his butt and Everett kept challenging her again. She has invited him to join her other online chats and roleplays where she's known better as xXBlackHeartXx. Neither know each other's real life names nor have they met in person. Everett hasn't personally tried to pursue it just yet, although he does know she lives in or near Salem. For now he is content with just talking to her and, if he's being honest, those conversations are probably when he's most like himself anymore.
One of the girls Everett got lucky with was Stella Barrowman. There have been a couple of occasions where they happened to be at the same place and ended up in the same bed. Everett definitely thinks he got better after sleeping with her - hey, the girl is good - but she was also kind of easy. Oh well. A lay is a lay. And he wouldn't be opposed to hooking up with her again, should they happen to run into each other.
Enemies
TBD
Interested in
The ladies. But he will admit, as Josiah he does play the field a bit. He may occasionally flirt with a guy if his attention is so grabbed. While Everett has not been with a guy exactly, it would not be a stretch to say that, at the very least, he is bi-curious.
Relationship Status
Singling and mingling
Body
Everett stands at 6'2, most definitely towering over his moms. He considers himself pretty muscular, although he doesn't really work out at all. There must have been some damn good genetics wherever he came from. Either that, or he buffed himself up pretty quickly with his exploring since starting college. Maybe a little bit of both?
Eye Color
Hazel
Hair
When he was younger, Everett used to have a Zac Efron-esque hair style. The bangs, the swoop, slightly longer.... Nowadays he just likes to keep it short and away from his face.
Style
Being that he's basically two different people, it only makes sense he'd have two different styles. When he's Everett - basically at home, alone or in class - he'll have a more vintage style to him. He gravitates naturally towards clothes that feel like a throwback somehow, whether it's by the color or the design. And, as nerdy as they are, he does have suspenders in his wardrobe. When he goes out to party or hook up as Josiah, he likes to dress more dapper. Sure it may look nicer than what most people wear, but to Everett it feels like in outfits like that he has more confidence. He has more of a power to him. He accepts it and he embraces it. And, hey, he has to be doing something right with it or he wouldn't get action, right?

Health Issues
Basically Everett's medical history is a total blank. There's no way to know if he's at a higher risk for any conditions or diseases or if there's even a chance he has anything now.
The only thing Everett knows of, although it's not a health issue as much a necessity, he does wear glasses. He's not totally blind without them, but if he loses them he might as well be Velma Dinkley. However he only wears his glasses as Everett; when he goes out as Josiah he puts in contacts.
Family
Mother - Aleah Janice Underwood, Veterinarian - Aleah is one of the most kind and gentle people. She is the parent Everett goes to whenever he has a problem or needs comfort. Unfortunately that also means she babies Everett quite a bit. Aleah grew up very sheltered; her parents often attempted to protect her from violence, cursing, and anything else that might hurt her innocence. Aleah has taken a very similar approach with Everett, monitoring what he could or couldn't watch or what websites might be dangerous. Though she meant well and only wanted what was best for her son, it would explain why Everett felt such a need to turn himself into someone else or find other ways to explore. But Everett would never put such a blame on her; Aleah would help everyone if she could. Whether it's her own son or the various foster pets she brings into the house, she's always finding a way to lend a hand and be as supportive - albeit overprotective - as possible. She is the main breadwinner in the household, at times working double shifts, and rarely having a day off, which allows the family to live as comfortably as they do.
Mother - Betsy Dean Underwood, Bet's Pets Owner - A woman with two degrees in business, Betsy has always been a take charge kind of person with a very specific idea of what she wanted. She wanted to own her own place, be in charge and make a good living. When she and Aleah bonded over their love of animals, opening a pet store was the only option that made sense. She bought space in Salem's local mall and called it Bet's Pets, which has been around close to ten years now. Betsy is the disciplinarian of the household and sets most of the strict rules for Everett. She balances out Aleah's delicate nature, in a way, although both parents could have done more for him. As tough as she is, sadly Betsy could never fully replace the father figure that Everett never had in his life.
History
The first picture in the Underwood's house of Everett is from when he was only six weeks. It was the day he was adopted by Betsy and Aleah. It was a closed adoption so no knowledge of his heritage, medical history, birth family or anything of the sort is known. All Everett has known is a family balanced between love and discipline and full of pets. For the most part, it was pretty good. Especially after Bet's Pets took off and was getting some good traffic at Salem's local mall; though Aleah has always done very well as a vet, Betsy bringing in more money meant more of a chance to spoil Everett. Anything he wanted, it was pretty much his as soon as he asked. He might as well have been handed a silver spoon to eat out of when he was adopted. As a child growing up in uptown Salem, like most other well-off/rich kids in his area, he could come across as pretty snobby. He never meant to, but it was probably the reason he didn't have a lot of friends growing up. Everett was pretty ok with that; he was always more into technology anyway. He would do anything on a computer from homework to games.
His first taste of freedom on the internet was Neopets. He created an account when he was in middle school with the username htmL. Everett didn't know at the time how much it would fit him; admittedly he had just hit a bunch of letters to make something because nothing else he wanted was available. At first Everett got involved with Neopets to prove to his mothers he could help take care of the many animals they were fostering. He wanted to prove he was responsible. Everett did everything from feeding his virtual pets daily to earning Neopoints and buying them things, painted them - his Aisha was the first to get that treatment - and went so far as to design their pet pages and pet lookups. Everett proved himself successfully and was able to help out with the pets a lot more. What he didn't expect was to become so interested in the coding. Sure, at first, he copied and pasted pre-made codes like most users did. But then he started changing a few things. Just the colors and font, mostly. Then he figured out how to change the pictures. The next thing he knew, he was using pre-made codes as references so he could make his own designs. Between his codes and conversing with other users on Neoboards, Everett found himself opened up to a whole new world.
Helping with the pets at home should have been a victory for Everett; but it was nothing like he planned. He had to help clean the kitty litter. He had to feed the dogs. He had to clean the cages. Sometimes he had to walk the dogs when his moms were busy. They weren't anything like taking care of his Neopets. Whenever he wanted to go on the computer, he couldn't because the animals needed him. It wasn't that Everett hated his pets; but suddenly it felt like he'd signed up for too much. He wanted to be on his computer. He wanted to play games. He wanted to design more pet pages. He wanted to talk with other users. It was so much better than interacting with actual people. It was that way throughout middle school and it followed him to his time at Salem High. There, it seemed as though few people noticed Everett. He was just the rich kid who kept to himself. Most of his classmates believed Everett thought himself to be much better than everyone else; in reality, he just preferred the virtual world over the real one.
His grades were the same way. Everett was smart, but not exactly book smart. The effort and care just wasn't there. He was much more interested in being online. There, he didn't necessarily have to be Everett. No one had to know that he didn't really have any friends. Or that he wasn't the smartest or most athletic kid. They didn't look at him and think him to be weird or snobby or anything. There he just felt...free. And it was through his time on the internet that Everett found his passion in web design. He had hoped that he could enroll in Metric College and study there. Unfortunately, considering his questionable grades the best he could get was Salem College. Though his moms were disappointed, they were at least happy Everett was going to college. Everett never really intended to go far from home, anyway. Although it would give him so much more freedom, somehow he just felt more comfortable in Salem. And what were the odds any of his online friends would be in or near that area?
At least he would still get a small taste of independence and freedom; it was decided that Everett would dorm at Salem on the agreement he would be home every other weekend. After all, considering his social skills, Everett needed to spend more time with actual people. It was after that, that Everett decided he had to change his image. He started with his online image first. He'd often gone by Jo on Neopets; he had been since about eighth grade when he really started interacting with people. But somehow, it didn't feel like enough. Jo was a confident person; he was a smart person. He could open up more not as Everett, but rather as Jo. It was a good start, but Everett felt like he needed to push past that. So he kicked it up a notch. While the majority of his other online accounts were as Jo - a couple roleplay communities, a forum or two, not to mention a couple of templates for online games like Words with Friends - he decided to make a couple of social media accounts. Everett had never been one for things like Twitter or Facebook; but he did do his fair share of research on the sites. He needed to get an idea of how 'normal' people were, how he should be acting. He ended up taking on the name Josiah Ungrage; the first few pictures of himself he took of his face only, sans glasses, and then he looked into changing his wardrobe. He wanted to keep the retro feel, but seem more confident somehow. A dapper appearance was the way to go. The first time Everett went into a store to try on an outfit like that he felt...better. More confident. Kind of like he had some sort of power. He attempted to bring that feel onto his pages. Rather than complain about homework or mention something about coding as Everett, Josiah would show off his new outfit. He'd talk about Game of Thrones. He'd actually leave comments on other peoples' pictures. Everett made sure to get a lot of practice online before walking around Salem College as Josiah.
He became a ladeies' man. He told girls what they wanted to hear. He put on this cool, almost bad boy act. He wasn't afraid to say anything. He took chances. He felt like he was actually worth something. Everett was a nerd. Everett seemed so stuck up. Everett didn't really have any friends. Everett was a no one. But Josiah? Josiah was cool. He got ladies. Even openly flirted with a couple of guys. Josiah opened his mouth and people cared about what he wanted to say. Josiah could actually have a life, get into college parties and be invited to go places. He was someone. After getting a taste like that, it was difficult for Everett to ever go back. At the rate he's currently going, even still just a freshman, there's little chance things will ever return to how they were completely. The closest things Everett has left to who he once was, are his Neopets account and his online profile M0JoJ0Jo. If it weren't for his moms and classes, you wouldn't even know that Everett Underwood ever existed.
Random
▚Josiah Ungrage is his alter ego and essentially the person that's taking over Everett's life. The closest things left of Everett are his moms and his online friends. Even if his gaming or roleplay friends know him as Jo, it still feels better than boring Everett.
▚His alter ego and his hook ups may or may not have anything to do with the lack of male role models in his life.
▚Not that Everett has anything against animals specifically, but dogs and cats are just so much work and effort! They take time away from the things that really matter - activities on his computer!
▚One of his favorite shows is the Powerpuff Girls - the original, not the stupid current remake - but he'll never admit it out loud.
▚Though he may be getting better at getting laid each time, Everett can be pretty forgetful with the protection. Probably not a good thing his parents never had 'the talk' with him!
▚Everett's Neopets account is still active. His username is htmL and he has three pets: Sk00b the disco Poogle, B3llum the orange Aisha and mj0 the split Mynci. He doesn't use it as much anymore (who wants to admit they still use Neopets?) but they are the kind of pets he wants to take care of and Everett admittedly wants to accomplish a few more things on his account.
▚Although he dorms at Salem College, his home is in Salem. His moms own a nice house in uptown Salem which has more than enough space for the three of them and their numerous foster pets.
