Q: What is the Twitter Feed? A: The twitter feed is basically Metric’s gossip blog. It’s run by an anonymous user who goes by Campus Sweetheart. No one knows who this person is, but whoever they are, they must be attending Metric at either the High School or College Level. The things said on the Twitter feed vary in terms of authenticity, but everything that is said on the Twitter feed exists to cause drama. Characters may reference the Twitter feed either in the IC cbox or in in-character posts.

Gossip Twitter is run by Kenzie and any gossip requests may be PMed to her. She will add them to the Twitter feed when applicable.

Q: What is the IC Cbox?: A: The IC cbox is basically like the regular cbox, except all posts must be in character on it.

Q: What is the plotbox?: A: The plotbox is like the chatting cbox except reserved for plotting. This way people can plot things among one another while also leaving the chatbox open for regular conversation. Please take plots/gushing about RPs to plotbox if other people pop on the cbox, this way both conversations can carry on and no one will be dwarfed.

Q: What is the Ghost rumor for?: A: The ghost rumor started on the original forum, inspired for Halloween and horror themed roleplays. You may use the legend of the Powell family to your hearts content for spooky type roleplays, though keep in mind writer Pierce has created a character for one of the Powell children .

This time of week Emmett always grew as restless as his students. He loved his job, getting to paid to play games,
but the weekend couldn't come soon enough. Not that this was the weekend, of course. Nope, ti was the middle of the week but it was a day Emmett had been looking forward to for a good portion of the month. It was always hard to plan a day for all the guys to get together. It wasn't highlyplanned, just the fact that they were going to be meeting at the gym.

As soon as he was able to get out of work Emmett rushed to pick his son up from the daycare. Then he went home, gave Andy an afternoon snack, changed into his workout gear, and brought Andy to hang out with his grandma. Emmett's mom was looking forward to watching her grandson, thank goodness. It made Emmett's day a whole lot easier.

Of course, he was not going anywhere without bringing.. sustenance. And the giant tub of cookies--which was about a quarter emptied at this point-- was perfect. Doing a quick juggle-dance in order to get the door open, he swiped his membership card and rounded the divider into the gym. He didn't see either of his friends right away, but he was focused on snagging a locker for his things. That and stuffing a couple of more cookies into his mouth.

Marty's gym wear

Marty never failed to be grateful of the fact that his last class of the day ended an hour before school itself ended. Of course, he always had to put every tool back where it belonged but that really didn't take more than a matter of twenty minutes - still giving him the chance to get himself and his truck out of there before the floodgates opened. It also gave him the opportunity to work out and still have the evening to go out... as long as he got in bed early enough to wake up for another day of shop class.

Tonight he was sure he'd get to let loose a little. Going out with the guys was always a golden opportunity to get in to a little mischief - provided he didn't make any of the same mistakes he'd made in his youth. Yeah, none of that.

He was already nearly done with his workout when he realized he'd left his phone in his gym bag. It was a force of habit. Usually his exercise time was also a time of solitude almost, despite all the others on the equipment around him. But today he'd be sure to need it around just in case Emmett or Miles needed to get a hold of him for whatever reason. So Marty strolled to the locker room, wiping his face with a towel and seeing Emmett there when he walked inside. With... cookies? His brows rose, looking at his friend, then the tub and back again. "You really want to get your membership revoked don't you chap?" he joked, giving Emmett a jovial clap on the back before opening up the locker he normally used.

"Who made these anyway? They look homemade," Marty observed, giving in to his curiosity and picking one out of the container. One wouldn't hurt his regimen. While he devoured the treat he rummaged for his phone, unlocking it and reading the message he'd received from Miles ten minutes prior. "Ah. Looks like Miles will be meeting with us later on, says he's still on campus. I guess it was a long day for him, which means he'll be more than ready to kick back with us!" Marty grinned, confident in that statement.

a chocolate chip baked perfection balanced between his lips as he put his things away. If one of the rowing machines was free he could use that. But Emmett was well aware that his arms were in need of more weight training. He turned to put his treats away but stopped at the familiar voice, smiling a little at the hand on his back. The cookie fell from his lips but Emmett caught it, looking at Marty with a shrug.

"Eh, it's not like I'm training for Mr. America.." He paused and frowned at his statement. For some reason that didn't seem right. he was blanking on the name of the competition but he didn't let it bother him too much. He smiled a little when Marty gave in and took one of the baked goods. "And Mum made them, who else? You know I don't eat any of that store-bought nonsense."

He took advantage of the following silence and put the remainder of his things in his locker, being sure to keep his phone and earbuds out. He never wore them both when exercising but he needed something in the background even if he did talk to others. His brow rose curiously at Marty's explanation for Miles' absence.

"Really? Shux, it sounds like those kids need these cookies more than we do." But he grinned and nodded along with Marty in agreement. "Yes, we all deserve a little break.. Do we have any idea what we're even doing?"

Marty's brow furrowed slightly, not recalling there actually being a Mr. America. Poor bloke, he'd probably confused Miss America with something else - not that he was all that well informed of those things either, he just liked the boost he got from working out!

He nodded as he chewed, savoring what had been confirmed to be homemade. "You're better off for it, at least this way you know it's been made with more love than any other ingredient." Marty grinned, replying to Miles in acknowledgement of the message.

"They probably do," he agreed, though he knew there wasn't really anything they could do about it right now. Emmett's question was a good one. It was probably better if they planned it first anyway, "It's up to us, really. I for one want to get at least a little knackered. Miles will thank us later. Don't they have a bar at the bowling alley? That might be fun, I haven't tried that in ages." he suggested, grinning at his friend. "We'll have some time to pump some iron before Miles gets here, that's for sure. The man is almost always late, even if he thinks he's on time."

Emmett snuck one last cookie into his mouth before pulling himself away from the locker and grabbing his phone. He might as well start heading out to the equipment. He still was having trouble deciding which machine he wanted to use, however.

No matter how long Emmett knew Marty, the brit's slang always confused the hell out of him. It wasn't until he had mentioned the bar attached to eh bowling alley that Emmett even realized what he had meant. "Oh... getting drunk.." he said quietly, mostly to himself. "The bowling alley could be quite fun. I haven't gone since junior high. I think."

He finished his cookie before stepping out of the locker room and glancing over his shoulder at his friend. "Well you could lift some weights, I was thinking of getting on the rowing machine.. These abs need a bit of work, I've let myself go just a tad.." He punctuated his words with a slap to his own stomach.

Bowling did sound like fun, plus he knew that Miles would get in to it more than he would if they went to some sports bar. "Well if we need to put up the bumpers for you bloke, I won't laugh at you. Not too much anyway," Marty snickered a little at the imagery, "can't guarantee the others there will be as courteous though." A grown man needing bowling bumpers? That's comedy.

He followed suit out of the locker room and chuckled at Emmett's comment. "Sounds like you've had one too many cookies and not as many sit-ups. You know what they say about moderation," Marty advised cordially, not a hint of seriousness in his tone. He wasn't a physical trainer in any capacity, so he wasn't ever inclined to tell another man what to do or how to do it.

Marty walked over to the weights section, pulling out several plates and attaching them to the bar with ease, not in the mood to overexert himself since they wouldn't have time to rest after the workout. It would be a nice brisk arms workout, then maybe some cardio to get the endorphins going.
