Olivia nodded her head. "Oh God, we would have been great friends! And we probably would have gotten each other into a lot of trouble." She winked, but the thought of having a friend like that warmed Olivia's heart. Despite her friends in college that she partied with, she spoke with none of them now, so many years later, and only two of them had attended her wedding wen she got married. So much for sorority sisters... But she digressed. They each had their own lives, and though they were in that organization together it didn't mean that they had to be stuck together with glue. She understood, and had other friends now. Though, just spending time with Susan and talking with her, Olivia realized that she liked her a lot more. She was more real and personable.
And then the infamous college party video was brought up. She couldn't help but laugh at Arthur's face, at the reaction he held towards remembering that night and that video. "I remember when Thomas told me about that video when he got home, and let me tell you, had I been there, I wouldn't have been as nice as he was." She wagged a finger at Arthur, but then gave him a playful smile. "And then I would have given Chardonnay a stronger talking to. But... Thomas was right in the end. You two were adults, things happen in college, and at least she didn't end up pregnant at that time. Besides, I trusted her when she said that nothing happened other than that. Chardonnay's always been particular about who gets close to her, physically especially. I knew she wouldn't give herself up that easily.
"But there's nothing wrong with being a serious kid; that's good! You have your head on straight. That was what Thomas said, even after seeing that video. He trusted you, saw the good in you." Her smile softened, and at Susan's question Olivia thought; thought back to college and those adventures.
"Not too often, especially not in the beginning. I've told you the story, right? How I didn't like Thomas when I first met him; thought that he was annoying and weird without even getting to know him." She smiled again, softly. "I was so mean to him! I don't understand why he kept trying because there were so many other girls that he could have swept up with his weird charm. Regardless, we went to some parties together; not anything crazy. I knew they made him uncomfortable. He may have been a guy who loved to have fun, and still does, but being in a place with loud music and people bumping into each other and getting wasted wasn't really his thing. Besides, I didn't want him going to frat parties that I was invited to; the girls in my sorority was so mean to mean. They didn't like him, and I couldn't stand knowing that they would talk about him if I brought him. After a while, that scene kind of got boring to me as well. Thomas much preferred get togethers, where people can actually have conversations without yelling over music. There was drinking, but nothing ever too crazy. I really liked those.
"There was one time though!" Her grin stretched and she took a sip of her coffee. "On my twenty-first birthday. He took me to the Strip and God that was so much fun. So much drinking and gambling and going to strip clubs--it was funny to see him squirm at those strip clubs! I don't remember much of the night... But I do remember that morning. It was then that I realized what an amazing guy he was. I was so drunk that he could have taken advantage of me, that he could have done anything to me... But he didn't. He took care of me. Made me food as I got over the hang over. Was always there holding my hair back when I had to throw up. And he was fighting off his own hang over during the time."
She looked down at her wedding ring and band and touched it gently. "He was something else. He still is something else."
