Darren kept saying man, and Chardonnay could only take that as him calling her a man, like she had when Kyle had continued to say dude before the ceremony had even started. "I'm not a man, first of all," she commented, narrowing her eyes and snorting. She turned to look away from them, not in the mood to joke, even at their laughing of Peter getting punched. It should have made her feel invigorated, like she had done the right thing, but she didn't. Not when she continued to think that Arthur and Erin's friendship hung in the balance now because of what she had done. She seemed like the one who was holding everyone together, the one who introduced Arthur into her little group. So what would happen if the ring leader decided to cut one of the members off?
It didn't at all surprise her to hear that he looked at other women, especially someone else's girlfriend, and apparently Arthur wasn't just over exaggerating when he said that Erin had bad taste in men. A drug dealer? What in the fuck kind of fetishes did this woman have? Or, rather, did she ever open her eyes to the world around her, to realize that the men she picked were shit, and potentially dangerous. But who was she to judge? She didn't even want to date anyone, let alone be around people who had the potential to dabble around in drugs and potentially sleep around, getting STDs and maybe even had a few kids on the side that she didn't know about.
Speaking of the bride, she came out of the doors a moment later and her and Chardonnay's eyes locked. Chardonnay lost the contest, though, and looked back ahead. She felt Arthur tense beside her, and Darren and Kyle grew silent as Erin started approaching, her dress rustling along the ground with every step she took. When she stopped, Chardonnay looked back at her. "If you want me to apologize for hitting your husband, you wont' be getting that from me." As she thought before, she wasn't sorry for the action, just sorry for the consequences that may happen with Arthur because of her actions. "He deserved it."
