At first it wasn't too bad. It could have been because it was their first time practicing so nothing would be perfect. The movements seemed simple, not too too similar to what Talon did see in the youtube videos. But when she had gotten to 'pathetic' Daemons' moved kicked in. His moves were so...flamboyant. Not that there was anything wrong with it. But it was just so...hypnotizing. So over the top. Like he was just so into the song and character, as though Daemon were embodying everything that was Ursula. Part of her felt like she literally was part of the song. Which made sense, if Daemon was going to look like he was actually controlling some of the things she was doing.
Then he stretched his hands out to her. And sang to her. Tay had stopped singing at that point, though it was amazing she was still using the guitar. Somehow...she couldn't quite put her finger on it, but it was as if this was more than just Ursula talking to Ariel. Like they weren't just in character. He was telling this to Talon. As Talon. He talked to her and she listened. She had a choice to make. And all it cost was her voice. She had no idea yet what that choice was. But somehow...somehow it was something she was taking to heart. When he said to sing, she opened her mouth. Nothing came out. She knew what came next in the song. She knew exactly what to do, even though after that Daemon had yet to tell her his idea for the ending of the song.
Fortunately when Daemon broke character, Talon stopped the guitar and closed her mouth. So...so it would be her on guitar for most of the song. He'd be controlling her; just like Ursula did with her promises to those poor unfortunate souls. When it was time to sing...that was all her. Talon's natural singing ability. No cover ups. No trances. Just her. And she'd follow Daemon. Wherever he went. All Talon could do to respond was nod. She understood completely. And when he gave her the signal again, she started playing. She picked up from the bridge, where Daemon started lip singing. This time, when he came to her, Tay took in his entire appearance. There was a glint in his eyes. He knew exactly what he was doing. But it all didn't matter to her. The darkness in his expression and the smirk on his lips...they hardly meant anything. If anything at all, they were tempting. So when he told her to sing, almost as if he was signaling her, Tay rose from the chair. She placed the guitar down and started singing. "Aaahaaaaah aahaaaahaaah..." she sang as if she was really Ariel. Her natural voice took over. She followed Daemon towards the back as he moved, doing exactly as he had instructed. When the song was over, Tay felt as though she had actually been a part of something. She felt like she had really gotten into the song, that for a moment...she was someone else. And it felt kind of good. Unable to hold back for that moment she just shook her head and made one simple comment. Whether she was talking about the character or herself was unknown.
"Poor unfortunate soul."
