It must have been a bit strange. Why would someone with next to no interest in Shakespeare be in a park watching a Shakespearian play? Although, to Phoebe the answer was obvious. Percy invited her. No, it wasn't her thing. Even if she had been in a play, she'd be more focused on the dancing. She'd be in the back or, at most, a one-off character. Phoebe enjoyed plays and musicals; Shakespeare was just not her. But it was Percy. And ve wanted to invite her to something ve enjoyed. It was a nice, simple way to spend time together. How could there be anything wrong with that? So maybe Phoebe wasn't following the play. Maybe this was something she was just naturally clueless about. But it didn't mean she wasn't enjoying herself. She was glad she came.
Then she heard Percy whisper to her. Phoebe blinked. She seemed lost? Oh no! Percy totally caught on. That was what she was trying to avoid; she didn't want ver to get distracted from the play on her account. Ve was so into it; ve was enjoying it; ve almost seemed at peace watching it. And there was Phoebe, sitting next to ver looking like some clueless bystander. Though, she doubted Percy would even question why ve invited her. If anything ve was probably thinking why she agreed to come in the first place. But she didn't regret it. If Percy had - for whatever reason - asked her to accompany ver to another play Phoebe would go. She mentally scolded herself for pulling Percy out of the moment in the story.
"It's fine," she whispered back shaking her head. "Don't worry about it; I'll be fine." Although, between losing track of where they were, the characters, not to mention the ghost.... Seriously, why did all the other costumes look alright and there was just a guy with a sheet over his head? Ok, fine. He was a ghost. She got that. But did he have to stick out like a soar thumb? And then the characters started talking in the scene and, once again, Phoebe's distraction threw her off to what was going on. She'd better let Percy know she was alright so ve could go back to mouthing along. She didn't want to end up distracting ver as well. "We came here to do something you enjoy. I couldn't pull you away from that. You should just keep watching. I promise."
