Q: What is the Twitter Feed? A: The twitter feed is basically Metric’s gossip blog. It’s run by an anonymous user who goes by Campus Sweetheart. No one knows who this person is, but whoever they are, they must be attending Metric at either the High School or College Level. The things said on the Twitter feed vary in terms of authenticity, but everything that is said on the Twitter feed exists to cause drama. Characters may reference the Twitter feed either in the IC cbox or in in-character posts.

Gossip Twitter is run by Kenzie and any gossip requests may be PMed to her. She will add them to the Twitter feed when applicable.

Q: What is the IC Cbox?: A: The IC cbox is basically like the regular cbox, except all posts must be in character on it.

Q: What is the plotbox?: A: The plotbox is like the chatting cbox except reserved for plotting. This way people can plot things among one another while also leaving the chatbox open for regular conversation. The past two weeks had been so hectic. With her generous volunteer schedule and heavy load of schoolwork, Rachel was running around all sorts of places. She and Benny hardly saw each other except for the two classes they shared and even then they were focused on class during that time. She missed him, spending time with him. Which was why she had been looking forward to tonight.

She was lucky her parents trusted her and Benny as much as they did. When her parents announced they would be gone all night and Rachel had asked if she could have Benny over for a little while, they had no objections. It was time for Rachel and Benny to enjoy each other's company in a way only they seemed to truly understand.

Pulling her hair up into a ponytail, Rachel turned to Benny after having ordered their pizza. "Okie Dokie, Ben. The pizza is ordered,
what should we do tonight?"

Benny's outfit

Senior year was proving to be much more challenging than Benny could have ever expected. On top of regular school he had his online Japanese language class, one of his classes was an AP class which had a ton of more work on its own plus its own test three quarters of the way through the year, and he continued to volunteer at the animal shelter. In the last two weeks between volunteering and his heavy workload he and Rachel have only seen each other during their two classes. Interaction between the two of them was minimal because of how focused they were on their schoolwork and they weren't one of those couples who were all over each other like crazy. Tonight was one of their rare chances together. As soon as Benny finished the little bit of homework he had left he was on his way to Rachel's. Her parents would be gone for the night and while most parents would completely take advantage of an opportunity like that, Benny and Rachel would never go behind their parents' backs The Griffons trusted them and neither was planning on breaking that trust. Certainly not Benny; he cared too much about Rachel to risk screwing up the good relationship he had with her parents.

What would Rachel and Benny even do that would be so bad? Watch a movie with the lights off and not see where they were getting popcorn crumbs? Actually...yeah, that sounded accurate enough. When he arrived at the house, he greeted the Griffons and wished them a good night. Rachel ordered the pizza shortly after, which they didn't even have to think twice on. Once she hung up the phone he smiled watching her tie her hair back. It was shiny and still smelled faintly of something mixed with vanilla, though he couldn't exactly put his finger on it. She had probably washed it earlier that morning, if he had to guess.

"Well, usually Netflix is a pretty good bet for us," he suggested. Then again, that's what they spent a lot of their dates doing anyway. "But would we have enough time for a movie with popcorn? I mean, if pizza doesn't get here for another twenty minutes and we eat it in an hour, we'd be heating up the popcorn kind of late.... Do you think that'd be too much for us?" He couldn't imagine what would happen if they ended up making popcorn at like, ten at night with something sugary to drink.How would they even get to sleep after that? "Unless we tired ourselves out with a pillow fight."

She reached up and tightened the ponytail, but made sure it wasn't too tight. She didn't want her scalp hurting from being pulled taut. She stood there for a moment, her mouth swishing to the side as she thought. He was right, if the time frame was correct they would be up rather late and they rarely did that. But tonight was a rare instance, why shouldn't they go crazy?Well, crazy for them at least.

Looping her arm through his, Rachel smiled faintly at the whiff of his scent. It smelled similar to Old Spice but she wasn't quite sure what it was-- they never really told each other what scents it was they used. They weren't overly-sharing like some couples were. They were content in the stableness. "I say we go for it. Being up late once in a blue moon never hurt anyone."

She spoke with a smile. "And a pillow fight sounds fun. We haven't had one in ages. Just no headshots, okay? I don't want to risk either of us getting hurt." She reached up to fix his hair, a focused look crossing her features as she paid attention to her task.

Rachel was right. How often were they really up late anyway? Maybe for homework or studying when they really needed to. But aside from that? Never, at least not with each other. And it wasn't like they were going to do anything. If eating popcorn and drinking carbonated drinks was the worst thing they could do at night, why shouldn't they be allowed to? "You are right. Why shouldn't we? We're not having a wild party or messing with anyone. Some people get high or drunk from alcohol, so we'll just get high off of popcorn and sugar instead." Benny adjusted his arm so it semi-wrapped itself around her own arm. "Sounds like all we need to decide is exactly what to watch and just wait for the pizza. Maybe we should do something to pass the time. Set up the watching area, maybe put a few stuffed animals around so it feels like we're in a movie theater, or put a blanket down so it's like an indoor picnic..." He was mostly thinking out loud, though.

He chuckled at the thought of a headshot. Like he or Rachel would actually end up hurting someone! The last time they had a pillow fight, one of their pillows hit a lamp; it didn't even fall over and break. He doubted anything would come from a headshot. But it was Rachel's wishes and he was not going to argue with that. "I'm sure we will be fine. Not that I think we would hurt each other; I couldn't even imagine why would might want to. But we'll keep all pillows chest line and below. Anything else is a foul and a time out." He blinked as Rachel moved her fingers through his hair, not even able to see what she was doing. He stared at her, not in a rude way, but more so fixated at the look on her face. "Did I part it to the wrong side again or does it just feel good, Rae?" he inquired with a smile.

The fact that Rachel and Benny were so unlike the rest of their peers was a relief for both sets of their parents, Rachel was sure. Nothing would ever come of them being along together. Maybe a quick peck on the cheek or lips or two but that was usually as far as she and Benny went and that was fine with her. More than fine. She liked the fact that neither of them even thought of doing all that.. other stuff. They respected each other too much to do that, especially before being married. And they would never, ever, think of hurting one another. Rachel couldn't even bring herself to imagine why she would willingly hurt Benny. The mere thought of him in pain was enough to tug at her heart.

She blinked, pulled from her thoughts with a handful of his locks in her hand. She smiled faintly, finishing her work proudly. "Well, to be completely honest it was a little bit of both.. I can't believe how soft you always get your hair. I want to know your secret!" she softly laughed and rested her head on his shoulder, wrapping both her arms around his in a sort of embrace.

"You know.. If we were to grab some blankets and pillows we could make a fort on the floor and it could almost be like we were camping in the living room," she suggested, musing herself at the thought. She hadn't gone camping in ages.. Maybe over the summer she could convince Benny to make a short weekend trip in the midst of preparing for college. It would be a perfect 'see you later' and they could even go hiking or swimming. She would have to ask him about that later.

Why did so many of their classmates like those things anyway? Drinking, parties, other stuff...there were just so many other important things to worry about. There was school. College. Jobs. The future. Why should anyone jump into all of that now when they had so much time? Benny wouldn't even want to be caught going to someone's party on the off chance they'd be serving alcohol. He was so terrible at saying no. Although Benny and Rachel had some differences of their own, it really helped to have someone who had the same morals, goals and state of mind. Rachel was just as focused on school and always having something to do. With any luck the two of them would be able to find something to do with their lives in no time post-college. Until then they might as well have been the oddballs out at school. Benny was ok with that. Let those other kids try to hurt them with their words. Benny and Rachel would never do that to each other!

He chuckled at her response. Really there was no secret to soft hair. Just shampoo and a quick hair dry. Not his fault his mother taught him how to use it. And it got the job done; Benny would never have to worry about leaving the house with wet hair again! "Well see, that's the thing about secrets. It's kind of a secret," he laughed. He added somewhat teasingly, "But I guess I can share it with you one day. Just, maybe after we're married. I don't want word getting around about my trick..."

Benny toyed with the idea of a blanket fort. He hadn't made a blanket for in forever! He just never thought to remove his blankets from his bed since he was at least eight or nine because he'd always have to make it before school. But that would be so awesome! They could make it like a tent and turn off the lights, open the windows and blinds and make it feels like they were almost outside.... He could totally picture it! "I like it," he smiled. "But there's one condition.... We have something next to the fort to scare away any monsters and evil Digimon. Just so we don't have anything interrupting our night."

She couldn't help but laugh. It was something that came so easily for her around Benny. He always knew exactly how to brighten her day, even when it really didn't need much brightening. It was nice to know she could count on him to never waver in who he was. He was solid, like a rock. Secrets.. Oh Benny..

She gave him a small wink. "Oh, okay Mr. Ban, keep your secret to yourself." She teasingly poked his chest, smiling at the thought of being Mrs. Ban one day. Though she knew it wouldn't happen soon. That was something they both agreed on, being at least comfortable with were they both were with schooling and financially before throwing a wedding into the mix. She just hoped Benny didn't wait too long. Though heaven knew she would wait as long as it took for him.

He seemed excited by the idea of a fort. "Sounds like a deal. I'll go grab the blankets from my room and you can find something to frighten off those meany creatures." she planted a quick peck on his cheek and removed her arms from around his before practically skipping to her room.

Her bed was always neat (for the most part) so retrieving her blankets was an easy task. In a few quick pulls she had them in her arms and she was flying back to the living room with a grin on her face.

The thought about marriage wasn't something they consistently teased or threw around; it was just something they always seemed to know. But when it did come up, it always serves as a reminder to what they had to look forward to. Benny was sure he had it all figured out - when they graduate high school he'd show or give Rachel something to remind her this was all for the long run; they'd get engaged at the end of college; and they'd take that time during their engagement to become financially stable before officially tying the knot. Everything just had to fall into place. He was positive that if he followed that plan and their lives progressed along with their relationship they'd be ready for anything together. And anyhow, there was no way he could deny what a nice ring Rachel Ban had to it. Though he'd take her last name if she wanted, too!

"Just for now...." he said innocently. His grin grew when she pecked his cheek. Two years with her and he still grinned like an idiot when she did that. That was exactly why there was never any rush for them. With Rachel, it was just so easy. It took Benny a moment to get his footing back and actually move to grab a couple of stuffed animals. Fortunately he wouldn't need to follow Rachel into her room; there were a couple spread out in the living room for decoration or that were gifts from someone. Benny only picked up three of them so too much wouldn't be out of place; he grabbed a dog, a tiger beanie baby and an owl. That seemed like a good combination. He placed them next to the couch for the time being and then removed the pillows so he and Rachel could start putting the fort together.

When Rachel reentered, Benny had just turned around with the pillows in hand. He gave her a bow, the pillow in one of his hands pointing towards the plushie. "M'lady, our supporting fort pillows and protectors of the fort await!"

She always enjoyed the way he smiled when she kissed him. honestly it was one of the reasons she loved him so. Of course, if she were to try to list all the reasons she would be sitting there for such a long time. the list was ever-growing and never ended. But the way he smiled at such a simple act of affection spoke to her heart in such a way that made her own grin emerge. And being in his company was like that all the time. There was never any pressure and Rachel couldn't think of a single time they fought. The closest they came was when they were debating which tv show to watch on Netflix and they had ended it by deciding not to watch anything and just bake cookies instead. There was never any need to make a big deal about disagreements.

She returned to the living room and giggled at Benny's bow, finding it quite charming and just a bit silly at the same time. Her eyes followed the pointing of his arm to the three stuffed animals and she nodded in approval. "Oh, my King, our valiant knights are perfect!" She returned and got down on her knees to set the blankets down.

She decided to use her quilt for the flooring, so they had somethign between them and the carpet. It would make cleaning up the crumbs and popcorn much easier. They used a couple of cushions from the couch and the pillows Benny had grabbed to make supports before draping the second blanket over the top. It was cozy, but allowed enough room for the two of them.

Rachel gave Benny a large smile before crawling inside and laying down on her back. "It's perfect!" He looked up at him, grinning like a buffoon.

Once the fort was set up, Benny moved the stuffed animals over - one on the right, one on the left and one on the couch to watch from overhead. He took a step back and looked at Rachel laying comfortably under the fort. "I think we made a pretty awesome blanket fort." He took out his cell phone and snapped a picture of the fort, complete with his girlfriend, and then proceeded to one of his apps. Even though Benny wasn't big on social media, it didn't stop him from posting something once in a while. Even busy golden boys had to have lives too at some point! "Instagram, prepare to be jealous!" He uploaded the photo and captioned it #movienight with gf complete with blanket fort. #booyeah.

After placing his phone in his pocket, Benny crawled under the fort, his feet sticking through the opening. He rested his hands behind his head and looked up at the blankets. "Not to sound cocky, but I'm pretty sure when we have kids and they want to make a fort for themselves, they're going to be coming to us for a lot of help." Not that it was probably even a very cocky thing to say, but Benny wasn't even a cocky guy to begin with. He tilted his head towards Rachel, "Now all we have to do is decide on what to watch on Netflix while we eat. Something tells me you'll pass on bingewatching Digimon or Naruto." Not that he would be surprised nor did Benny have a problem watching either show on his own. It was just nice to share things he liked with his girlfriend sometimes.

Not that money was even on her high list of priorities, to be honest. Sure, she wanted enough to be comfortable but she wasn't an extravagant gal. Her tastes were far from expensive, maybe a bit frugal in all honesty. It helped make everything easy. Benny never had to do much to make her happy, just show up and smile the way he did. She couldn't get enough of that grin.

When Benny joined her inside the fort she scooched over so he had enough room and folded her hands on her stomach. "Help? Benny I think they'll inherit our gifts if anything. They'd be coming to us to show us how proud they are of their forts." She turned her head to look at him. It filled her chest with a light feeling whenever they talked about their future so matter-of-factly. There was no doubt in her mind how she would be living the rest of her life once college was completed.

She nudged him gently with her elbow when he mentioned Digimon and Naruto. "It's alright, Ben, you can have your shows all to yourself." She never could get into those herself but it was nice for him to have his shows. It was like how she had Gilmore Girls and Friends to watch. She thought for a moment, humming softly as she did and crossed her ankles. "Such a good question.. I know you don't care for Gilmore Girls or Friends.. Hmm.. There's How I Met Your Mother.. Scooby Doo.. Or we could check out their list of movies. I saw they added a whole bunch of Disney films yesterday."

But we would just think about how much it looked like the forts we made and realize how good they are, then try to squeeze inside to watch a movie with them and accidentally break it." It was probably an accurate thought, too! Although the only way Benny would say to take down a pillow and blanket fort would be if they were to have company coming over and needed the cushions for the couch, or if it was a hazard. Like right near something breakable or blocking something. But what were the odds of either of those happening? Probably not very high!

Rachel and Benny may have shared a lot of things together, but not always their taste in shows. Fortunately deciding what to watch on Netflix never caused an argument. They would just do something else or find a show or movie they both liked. Tonight would be no different and Benny expected nothing less. "Did they?" he asked in reference to the Disney movies. "I've barely even been on Netflix in two weeks let alone yesterday. The last time I went on I just needed a break from homework and only had enough time for one show, so I clicked something off of recently watched." It was true; Benny wasn't particularly a fan of either show. Was Gilmore Girls one of the shows that was an hour long? Benny didn't really like that, except for specials. What was wrong with the typical half hour format? "Hm....the only question is, if we did Scooby Doo which one would we watch? I don't think we can go wrong with it, but there's so many choices."

She thought for a moment then crawled out of the fort to retrieve the remote from the coffee table before returning to her spot beside Benny."They have that newer one, Mystery Incorporated. And I think I saw a few films on there too.." She shrugged. "The real question is what kind of bad guys are we interested in watching chase them around?"

Rachel thought for a moment. The ghosts and vampires and things like that always actually managed to frighten her a bit, which sounded silly. Perhaps it was her own innocence but whenever there was one of those bad guys she would always cling to Benny and press her face into his shoulder.Her protector.

Building their own fort so nothing would get knocked down or broken sounded like a good idea. It actually put a thought in Benny's head. "Maybe if we had a house with a backyard, when they're old enough we could work on building a treehouse," he suggested. "Nothing too over the top or crazy, but just a little place for them to hang out in. And if we could put a couple things in there, maybe a shelf for games, a beanbag chair or something, they could always build a fort in there. Not that it's a requirement or we have to have a house as opposed to an apartment - anything we can afford would be fine."

Sometimes though, as silly and maybe a little odd as it was, it was easier to think about the future than deciding what to watch on Netflix. Figuring that out didn't happen all too often, but between their different tastes in shows and occasional indecisiveness, it wasn't too much of a surprise. Even when they could agree on a show, sometimes it was the season or the incarnation there still was to decide. Certainly not something they couldn't handle. Still, he really had to think about which Scooby Doo was good to watch. Some of the films were very good. He liked watching The Witch's Ghost and Cyber Chase the most, although the ones with the actual zombies and the mummy were good as well. But between those and the newer version...don't get him started on throwing in the classic or 13 Ghosts. Then that would really be pushing it!

"I've seen some episodes of Mystery Incorporated. Not a huge fan of the animation, but it's a decisive change from the obvious criminals in the earlier seasons. And I do like that it's an actual continuation so there's a story behind everything other than one-off episodes," he stated. "But if Netflix happens to have one of my favorite movies I kind of can't argue with that." He managed to put him arm lightly around Rachel, even in the tight confines of their blanket fort. "We did have a crazy few weeks, though. I don't want you to get freaked out because of the actual monsters in Mystery Incorporated when we can relax and have fun together with fake monsters." Not that he wouldn't protect her at all, but he also couldn't stand the thought of one of their shows giving Rachel any nightmares! Although he wouldn't want any either.... "What would you prefer?'

Besides, Rachel often found that children needed a space to call their own where the adults wouldn't 'butt in'. She tilted her head slightly when Benny in a way shot his own idea down by stating they didn't have to have a house. She gently bopped the tip of his nose with her finger. "I dunno, Benny, you sure did sell me on the tree house idea. But you are right, wherever we end in with will be perfect."

She turned slightly into him when he put his arm around her, resting her temple against his shoulder as she fiddled with the buttons on the remote. She always felt so safe in his arms, like nothing could ever get to her with Benny there to watch over her. He was her rock, her shield. He was steadfast and true. The calm in the storm around them that was Salem.

"I think one of the ones was the one with the Loch Ness monster.. Then there's the pirates one.. And I know you love the Cyber Chase one." She glanced at him with a smile. She knew all too well what his favorite scooby doo films were. She personally liked the Alien Invaders film the most. Unfortunately Netflix's selection was very few and far between. "We could watch that one." It had a great soundtrack, which was probably the reason she enjoyed to watch it even if the blue virus guy had a creepy voice.
