Ari didn't even think for one second about the unfinished painting. If Will wasn't there it would never get finished. And she would finally be able to see for herself what he had in mind, no matter how much or how little of it was actually complete. Even so, she wasn't going to bother herself with that. All that mattered was Will knew his paintings were in good hands, in case he did leave. She could believe he wasn't going anywhere all she wanted; at the end of the day he just had to know she had his back either way.
Ari buckled her seatbelt and glanced at Will when he spoke. Of course it was almost difficult to take his statement seriously, curled up into almost a ball as he was. She smirked lightly. "You know you can move the seat back a little bit more. I know my car may not be meant for the freakishly tall like you but that doesn't mean you have t spend the drive sitting that uncomfortably." She placed the keys in the ignition, though only turning them halfway. The radio went on, but that was it for the moment. Turning the car on completely and actually moving the car...that would mean that was it. They weren't ready for that. Ari shook her head, attempting to push the thought out of her head once more.
"Heh. Sounds like a bunch of prudes running that joint. If they're gonna lock people up, give them something to look at. No idea how they expect a stupid landscape to lift anyone's spirits." She shrugged her shoulders and leaned her head back against the seat. "I suppose I'll just have to take what I can get," she sighed, "my parents have enough of that crap hanging on their walls but if that's all you can get me I shouldn't complain too much. I can always take one of those ****** up landscapes you paint and put it in my room there; I'd love to see the look on my parents' faces if I told them it was the painting of a criminal." She brought her eyes to her keys, figuring she should turn them all the way so the car was on. Guess they'd better get this over with.... Holding in a sigh, Ari shook her head before sitting up straight and reluctantly turning the key. She turned her head and proceeded to back out of the spot. "I'll drive slow so you can get a look at everything - just in case. Don't wanna be hearing about any regrets when we get there."
