Daemon loved to go to the amusement park, alone especially. While he did enjoy the company of Angel or Logan when wandering about, there was so much more to get away with when he was alone. He could ride all the rides he actually wanted to. And, unlike many people, Daemon never had a problem with being a single rider or being paired with strangers. In fact, sometimes being paired with strangers was the most exciting way to meet new people.

Daemon walked around the park, with a stick of blue cotton candy in his hands. He took some of it into his mouth as he got a call. Daemon shifted for his phone just as someone approached him. He swore and knocked the cotton candy to the ground – groaning when his treat was ruined. ”Uhm, rude.” Daemon deadpanned, glaring over at Boaz. He blinked. Did he know this guy? Daemon narrowed his eyes and spoke in a sassy sort of tone, ”do I know you?”

Daemon tried to think of where he could have seen this guy. School, maybe? Was he in High School? This guy looked like he wasn’t too old, but he would recognize a face like that around the school. Whoever this guy was, he was totally buying Daemon another cotton candy or a snack of equivalent value.

When Boaz asked if he hung out in Salem, Daemon snorted. ”I practically live here. I go to school here and head back to New York in the summer. So if we look familiar to each other, we’re probably both students.” Daemon glanced at his nails, and then at the destroyed cotton candy on the ground. He glanced over at Boaz again. ”How about you buy me another cotton candy, babe; maybe it’ll jog your memory?”

Daemon rose an eyebrow when Boaz implied he was asking for a date. Well, he certainly wasn’t, and he also wasn’t interested in penis. But he decided that bombshell could be dropped after this guy bought him some more cotton candy. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time a guy had assumed he was gay because of the way he acted. And who was Daemon to deny anyone the opportunity to buy him things?

Daemon glanced at the hand looped through his and shrugged his shoulders. Uncle Boaz? Okay, so this guy had some kind of uncle-nephew complex? Daemon wasn’t going to judge. ”I want blue raspberry. Medium. Large is too much and small ain’t enough.”

Fortunately the cotton candy stand wasn’t too far away, and there wasn’t much of a line.

Daemon watched Boaz as he led the way into the line. The girl running the stand was cute but nothing special. Daemon watched as Boaz hit on her and obtained her number. He rose his brow at that. So the guy was a flirt, huh? At least Daemon wouldn’t have to worry about breaking his poor little heart.

Daemon took his medium cotton candy and contently ate it, about to go on his merry way when he heard Boaz introduce himself as uncle. Well now. That wasn’t subtle at all. But this guy was interesting so Daemon decided to entertain him and sat down at a bench, crossing one leg over the other.

”Nice to meet you, Uncle Boaz. Any relation to Uncle Sam?” He asked. When the guy asked for his name Daemon took another bite of his cotton candy. ”Not interested, for one. I’m completely straight. Most girls like to call me Daddy,” there was a sense of joking in his tone as he leaned forward and gave Boaz a troublemaking look. ”Look at that, we could start formin’ some kinda dysfunctional family over here.”

Daemon was interested when Boaz’s attitude didn’t immediately change when he was told that he was straight. Perhaps Boaz didn’t buy it. That was the only thought Daemon had for why the guy didn’t just up and leave, curse about Daemon being a cock tease, and then go prowl on some other flamboyant looking boy. It was interesting enough to keep Daemon from heading out, too.

He popped a fluffy ball of cotton into his mouth, allowing it to melt there while Boaz leaned in close. Daemon came to the conclusion that Boaz simply hadn’t bought the straight comment and was continuing to hit on him. Oh well. It wasn’t like Daemon was going to go home with him or anything. He rested his chin in his palm and his elbow on the bench table.

When he said he wasn’t a girl and wanted something to call him, Daemon could give out his name. It wasn’t like he was shy to or didn’t want to. But with him asking like that, it just made him want to tease. ”You can call me master.” He said, with a smirk. He was about to give Boaz his actual name when he saw a very familiar, suddenly back together couple beyond Boaz’s shoulder. The boyfriend had a possessive arm around the girlfriend and he seemed to have spotted the two boys sitting on the picnic bench.

”Oh, shit.” Daemon exhaled. ”There goes my fun day at the park.”

When Boaz asked who the people staring at them were, he rolled his eyes and shook his head. ”Ain’t no one I really care about now, but, let’s just say that guy don’t like me. I slept with his girlfriend.”

The mentioned guy was now leading his girlfriend over. The girlfriend, also recognizing Daemon, kept saying something like ‘let’s go, come on’ but the boyfriend wasn’t listening. He ignored his girlfriend with the same dedication that had led her to cheat on him in the first place. As the couple grew closer and closer, the girl was saying ”please stop!” but the boyfriend wasn’t listening.

”You,” The boyfriend completely dodged Boaz and lunged for Daemon, to grab him by the collar of the sweater. Daemon wasn’t’ swift enough to dodge the move and grimaced at the sweaty boy’s hand on his clean grey sweatshirt. ”I thought I told you if I ever saw you looking at my girlfriend again I’d beat the shit outta you!”

”Get your disgusting hands off of me,” Daemon spat, reaching up to force the guy’s arm away. He succeeded, for now. The guy looked like he was getting ready to punch him. Daemon glanced over at Boaz and moved to stand up. ”How about we go and chat somewhere that doesn’t stink like infidelity, Boaz?”

Daemon rolled his eyes when Boaz insisted that they could stay because they were here first. What was the point if this guy was going to bitch and moan the whole time? But there was obviously some kind of alpha male complex that Boaz had that made him have to rule the situation at hand. ”It ain’t worth it,” Daemon said, watching as the boyfriend’s jaw stiffened and his fists clenched. Daemon made a face. If he got punched in the face because Boaz wanted to act tough, Daemon was going to become a real demon to the guy.

”Look, you twink,” The boyfriend started. Daemon rolled his eyes and reached over to grab Boaz by the shoulder. Great... just great. Daemon tried to tug Boaz away but the boyfriend had switched gears and grabbed Boaz. Daemon let go of the guy and took quite a leap backwards. No fucking way was he getting involved in that shit! But then Boaz send the final line that basically sealed his fate, Daemon thought. Implying that this guy should suck him off was the wrong move. The guy looked offended and Daemon seized his chance to try to walk away as though he’d done nothing. He glanced at the girlfriend, who gave him a ‘really, bitch?’ sort of look, but Daemon just smirked at her. Yes, he really was going to just abandon this guy with his mess. Hey, he offered for them to leave. Egging the guy on was all Boaz’s fault.

”Don’t associate me with you fags!” The boyfriend roared, aiming a punch towards Boaz. Daemon was used to the insult and continued to walk away, not looking back at the scene.
