"Seriously man, I'm not worried. Besides. He makes himself look pretty bad as it is, he doesn't need our help. It's cool, we'll find our target before you even know it." Clint assured casually, not caring to think about a guy like Chad at a time like this. When his bro mentioned Max's dance partner though, Clint could distinctly pick up contempt in his tone. It probably wasn't as hard to get on Chase's hit list as he'd thought... but still. There was something more to this. The guy must've really deserved the infamous title of that guy. Well now... there was a good possibility of him getting pranked by them yet!
Clint nodded at Chase, blindly believing that he would be right by the end of the day. Oh, he really hoped so. "Being Wyatt's personal chef is my dream dude. Honestly. I've dreamt about being her chef more times than I can count." Granted most of them had been sideswiped by stupid dream obstacles, but still! "Thanks though. You know I appreciate it when you're thoughtful like that." he grinned, always doing his best to encourage the positive actions of his bro - not just getting after him for his negative or thoughtless ones. "You know I'm aiming for even high steps... but if I could just get more step up I'll be happy. Being her lackey is great and all, I mean I don't mind it... seeing her all the time, complimenting her and stuff... but I don't know. It's pretty thankless. I want Wyatt to really appreciate me, not just use me as some doormat." Clint shrugged, knowing that him talking about his feelings all of a sudden might get their conversation going in another direction. "But you know, I'm here now, getting ready for an actual date with her. So, I'm doing way more than being a doormat. All I have to do is really wow her with me being myself."
The whole centerpiece thing... kind of irked Clint. The empty spot beside the bread mocked him. As much as he tried to play it off, he could tell his bro wasn't buying it. "Wine bottle... I mean, we had one but - I threw it out this morning. I didn't think it would be of use without the wine in it! Plus I think it would imply something else, and I don't want to even risk that." Clint couldn't help but recall him and Chase the week before breaking out a bottle of wine and doing bad movie shots to some Nicolas Cage film. Yeah, that was actually pretty fun.
Wait. What did Chase just say? "Origami?" Clint repeated, his mind recalling several different flowers he could shape paper in to. "Dude. That's actually perfect. Hold up, let me get some paper." Clint darted to his room, hoping to himself that he still had some origami paper that his mom had sent him from her business trip to China. He rifled through one of his drawers - when lo and behold - he pulled out a square booklet with different colors of lightweight paper. The front of the book was filled with directions for various foldings, and Clint flipped to the nature section. Score!
He rushed back to the kitchen with the booklet in his hands, "Okay dude. We need to do these quick." he said, getting the feeling that Wyatt was probably already on her way and that they didn't have as much time to chill and relax as they figured. "We got to do three different kinds of these flowers and put them in that ceramic thing. It'll be the most effort put in to a bouquet of flowers for Wyatt that she's ever laid eyes on."
