Chase raised an eyebrow. "Dude. It doesn't matter how well I know her. I know that most goals are the same with date number one. To get to date number two." Granted, there were a number of other goals that could be made after date number one. Goals like kissing , getting invited into their room, continuing the date, getting laid...Chase wasn't going to pretend he didn't know any of that. But he wasn't going to tell any of that to Clint and make him more worried than he already was. "Anyway, the point is to just focus on the date and show her a good time. You can worry about anything else after she leaves. Ok, now I know you probably heard me make a lot of points tonight, but that's one of the most important points. Probably the biggest one. So don't sweat it." Though he could still tell Clint hadn't shaken the nerves. "Dude, seriously," he repeated tapping his bro on the shoulder.
But of course Clint wasn't going to let this patience thing go now! "Dude. It might as well be. And I don't want to embrace it, ok? So this whole patience thing you swear I got going on with Max right now, it's a fluke. The patience you insist I have is complete bs. So after your date I'm gonna take a shower and I'm actually gonna focus on washing this off of me and never have to think about it again" He pointed at his friend, "And you can laugh all you want, but I mean it."
He backed away from the table slightly while Clint read the next step to his flower. Chase, in the meantime, continued to fiddle with the paper frog. "And let me guess, if I don't do something with the frog it's going in the dumpster?" He shrugged his shoulders, "I guess that'd be kinda sad. there's probably a use for him somehow. Like, maybe I can make it look like he's dancing like that frog in those old Loony Tunes episodes. You know, the one that dances for that one guy and then stops for every other person so they think the guy's crazy?" Unless that meant he'd have to make an origami top hat, too, in which case, Chase would pass. He looked back at Clint and raised an eyebrow. "Ceramic vase? Oh, you mean the fake cookie jar." Fortunately he knew exactly where that was. It was on one of the small tables closer to the side of the dorm where Chase's room was. How it got over there, he really didn't remember. How would someone lose a ceramic vase, anyway/ Putting the frog down, Chase went to go pick it up before setting it in the center of the table. Of course, after he put it down, he jokingly moved it over so it was as centered as possible. "There we go."
